Graphics-8 Sound-7.5 Control-7 Challenge-7 Story-5
Level Design-7.5 Frustration-7.5 Fun-7 Originality-5
Overall Score-7.5
+
Difficulty options (boss patterns change between settings, 1 less HP on hard)
Switch costumes to gain new abilities (fireman, magician, climber - good uses for each)
Includes a bionic commando style segment
Some good bosses (first boss, bird boss, final boss - most of them take a little too long to kill though considering their simple patterns)
Mini-bosses
Good use of colour
Some large sprites
Hidden items and shops (buy items with collected coins) on alternate paths
Ride magic carpets
+/-
Extra ammo inventory items cost more than they're worth
-
Somewhat slow paced
Some trial & error (riding the apple on level 1, some mechanics (you can move block traps to use as platforms, one enemy gives different ammo depending on what you're wearing when killing them), some bosses, riding the ice cubes, enemies that are more maneuverable than you are)
Some simple bosses
Hit detection isn't quite perfect (small hit boxes)
Short (6 levels and the snow level is very short)
Very few secrets to find using the costume abilities
Doesn't feel like classic Disney (in the way the Sega made 16-bit games do)
Somewhat basic backgrounds
Pretty lame dialogue
Annoying animation after taking a hit (lose control over Mickey)
Can't look up/down (leaps of faith)
No manual running (you can only start running using slopes)
