+ 2-player co-op (partial - one player controls the torso/gun of the mech), good animation, decent variation (rescue mission, timed search & destroy, detonate bomb, terrain effects on your mech), good dialogue (detailed and fairly engaging briefings), radar system, choose starting weapons before each mission (three out of nine), password save, partially destructible environment, nice cutscenes, unlimited continues

+/- Enemy respawning (via destructible buildings), semi-auto targeting (works quite well but sometimes doesn't target what you want)

- Slowdown, controls are only done right in co-op mode and are still pretty clunky (you can work around the strafing problem in an emulator by using a dual analog controller in 2-player mode), in 1-player mode you can't strafe making it impossible to dodge many attacks), slow paced (especially swamp stage), can't avoid hits in some missions, trial & error (mines (voice messages cut out warning sounds), radar gets jammed in some missions, timed mission where you don't know the locations of your targets, surprise attack in fifth level (swamp) by a super strong mech), lacks a sense of progression - can't gain any new mechs or weapons, some weapons are pretty bad (mines), doesn't put the sound chip to good use (except for the clean voice samples), some annoying sfx (emulation problem?), short (5 levels)
