Good bosses overall (final especially)
Pretty addicting to collect medals (points)
Three different characters to choose from
Difficulty options (easy/normal/hard/hardest)
Two modes of fire for Type C (non-auto spread, auto focused shot) - Type A is tap only mixed fire and B is auto only with a semi-homing wave beam
Pretty intense action
Some new enemies on harder modes (not that much of a difference between normal and hard otherwise)
Respawn on the spot with same weapon power
Smart bombs
Level system (scales pretty well, three levels and 5 weapon upgrades per level, after that you gain bombs for exp instead)
Scrolls sideways a bit
2-player coop (minor slowdown)
+/-
Short levels
No alternate weapons
Small hit box
First bullet hell style shooter
Power ups bounce around the screen somewhat randomly (can be hard to get that bomb you need)
Hover over pigs for points (lol), hidden tricks for score players
-
No speed options (ship is a bit too slow for some attacks to be dodged on reflex)
Trial & error (bosses, fast atacks from all directions)
Very short (5 levels)
Starts out too easy (gets hard by the third stage)
No level hazards (traps, buildings, speed tunnels and such)
