Impressive YMF262/OPL3 (PC, ARC, PC-98) Music

Picture
The first PC sound card to use the OPL3 chip was the Sound Blaster Pro 2. Some arcade games combined it with either the YMF278B or the YMZ280B chip for samples.

The Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold card allowed adding reverb and chorus to the base sound as an effect.
