Graphics-6.5 Sound-7 Control-7 Challenge-8.5
Level Design-6 Frustration-9 Fun-6.5 Originality-5
Overall Score-6
+
Decent bosses overall
Difficulty options
Some intense parts
Smart bombs
Mini-bosses
-
Cheap hits (enemies shooting from off screen – 30% of screen is black forcing you to scroll it sideways, enemies entering from behind and front at the same time)
Unforgiving (lose all speed and all but three bombs after death, be teleported to a checkpoint close to the boss)
Unbalanced weapons
Long pauses in the action
Uneven difficulty (homing enemies in stage 1, some mini-bosses, way too fast projectiles and enemies when you’re at level 1 speed)
Hard to see enemy bullets (especially in stage 5, your own shots and some backgrounds obscure them), minor slowdown, pretty repetitive, can’t slow down after acquiring fastest speed (too fast in some cases)
